{"id":68,"date":"2025-11-23T15:23:05","date_gmt":"2025-11-23T15:23:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.misinformation.nurs.uoa.gr\/?page_id=68"},"modified":"2025-12-02T13:26:22","modified_gmt":"2025-12-02T13:26:22","slug":"about-the-partners","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.misinformation.nurs.uoa.gr\/?page_id=68","title":{"rendered":"About the partners"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>University of Athens<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/dhl.nurs.uoa.gr\">Helth Informatics Laboratory<\/a> was founded in 1996 at the Department of Nursing of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) and its main objective is to train students of the Department of Nursing by enabling them acquire the necessary skills in digital health (e.g. health analytics, machine learning in health, artificial intelligence in health) in order to adequately address existing and upcoming challenges in their workplaces. Health Informatics Laboratory covers educational and research needs of the Department of Nursing in areas, such as health data management, intelligent health information systems, intelligent electronic health record, artificial intelligence, machine learning in health, health analytics, health process analytics and biomedical informatics and technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>University of Bucharest<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two behavioral science laboratories operate within the University of Bucharest\u2019s Faculty of Business and Administration: the <a href=\"https:\/\/unibuc.ro\/studii\/facultati\/facultatea-de-administratie-si-afaceri\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\">Center for Applied Behavioral Economics<\/a> and the ABC Lab (Administration, Business, Communication Laboratory). Their activities focus on both individual and aggregate decision-making processes, knowledge that is essential for understanding consumption behavior, addressing collective actions, managing crises, improving public and governmental communication, and combating detrimental social phenomena such as misinformation. In addition to their core research, the laboratories also engage in public policy and business consulting, offering normative recommendations and conducting impact evaluations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>University of Sapienza<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/coris.web.uniroma1.it\/en\/medialab\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\">MediaLab\/RadioSapienza<\/a> is Sapienza University\u2019s multimedia and university radio lab, acting as a training and production hub for innovative audio\u2011visual and digital storytelling formats. It brings together students, academics and external partners in hands\u2011on activities ranging from podcasting and visual radio to video production, live streaming and social media campaigns. Within the lab is based RadioSapienza, the official web radio of Sapienza University of Rome, which plays a key role as a field for experimenting with innovative communication languages, didactic formats and participatory practices. RadioSapienza also contributes to research and practice on countering misinformation and disinformation, while strengthening the university\u2019s connection with civil society through programmes, partnerships and co\u2011created initiatives with communities and organisations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Within an international framework such as the CIVIS Open Labs, MediaLab\/RadioSapienza operates as an interface between the university and society, co\u2011creating communication projects that address concrete social challenges with local communities and stakeholders. In the \u201cCombating Health Misinformation\u201d CIVIS OPEN LAB project, the lab contributes its expertise in media production and media literacy to design and disseminate engaging, multilingual digital contents \u2013 especially podcasts and short multimedia formats \u2013 that support citizens, young people and vulnerable groups in critically assessing online health information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By integrating challenge\u2011based learning and service\u2011learning approaches, the lab enables CIVIS students from different disciplines to work together in transnational teams, transforming research on health misinformation into accessible narratives and formats for a broad public.
